Strengthening Families is a research-informed approach designed to help improve family dynamics skills, enhance child development, and reduce the likelihood of child abuse and neglect. With a goal of changing how service providers interact with families and support them, Strengthening Families partners with federal, state, and local public agencies to improve the lives of children and families. Its curriculum is based on engaging families, service-based programs, and communities in building five protective factors: parental resilience, social connections, knowledge of parenting and child development, concrete support in times of need, and social and emotional competence of children.
How can I do that?
