Facing Addiction Inc. is a national non-profit organization dedicated to finding solutions to the addiction crisis by unifying the voice of the over 45 million Americans and their families directly impacted by addiction.
Their vision is to bring together the best resources in the field in order to reduce the human and social costs of addiction, every year, until this public health crisis is eliminated.
Facing Addiction has launched a comprehensive resource hub for anyone in search of support or guidance in the addiction conversation, fostering hope and building connections through one searchable resource. This resource hub is the first-ever independent, not-for-profit, digital asset map that brings together a vast collection of addiction resources in one place.
The Center for Motivation and Change (CMC) is a group of dedicated clinical psychologists committed to the treatment and understanding of addiction issues. Our mission is to change the conversation about substance use in our culture and treatment programs, for our families and for the struggling individual(s). To do this, we rely on science. And kindness.
Prevention works. Treatment is effective. Recovery is possible for everyone.
A new joint report from National Association of Counties (NACo) and the National League of Cities (NLC) examines how cities and counties can strengthen collaboration with each other and state, federal, private-sector and non-profit partners to tackle the opioid crisis.
Several of the recommendations are accompanied by existing local practices from cities and counties. The report also includes recommendations for state and federal officials, who are pivotal partners in local efforts to combat opioid misuse, diversion, overdose and death.
